Cucumis sativus

Story: A beautifully pale, thin skinned, white, medium sized cucumber. They were made commercially available by the famous seed breeder W. Atlee Burpee in 1893 after they were recieved from a customer in New York. These grow well in a greenhouse but can grow and produce fruit outside too.

Sow: indoors in April.

Requirements: Like other cucumber varieties, this would do best in a greenhouse or conservatory. Full sun, and moist soil.

Harvesting: for eating: pick fruits when young and firm. For seed harvesting: leave the fruit on the plant for as long as possible and be sure to let them fully ripen to yellow.

Please remember, we only send out three packs of seed. If you order more than this, you will receive just three packs to begin with. This is to ensure we get plenty of data in return, and to keep our stocks sustainable for years to come.
