Tatsoi RS
Brassica rapa var. rosularis
Story: We first came across this seed from the wonderful Real Seed company and have grown it out a couple of times. It makes beautiful, dark leafy rosettes with thick, juicy stems.
Sow: Sow seeds in June - November
Requirements: Does best in full sun but tolerates partial shade. Tatsoi is prone to bolting if sown in the spring, they are best sown from Midsummer onwards. Plants are frost tolerant and grow well over winter.
Harvesting: Tatsoi is fast growing and generally is ready for eating 6 weeks after planting if sown in mid summer, overwintering crops will grow slower. It is a biennial crop for seed production so allow two years when seed saving,
How to return seed: Please send back at least 1-2 tablespoons of seed or more to the network. Label with the variety, date and your name and contact. Send to: Omved Gardens, 1 Townsend Yard, London N6 5JF
Please remember, if you’re an individual grower you can order up to 3 packets of seeds. If you order more than this, you will receive just three packs to begin with. This is to ensure we get plenty of data in return and to keep our stocks sustainable for years to come.*
